Ashley has an extensive background in music education, and has been teaching since 2000. She is a certified teacher with the Royal Conservatory of Music and has obtained specialist certificates for Elementary, Intermediate and Advanced Piano Education. Weekly she teaches 70 students from beginner to advanced levels preparing them for exams, festivals, recitals and other performances. Her students are known for their outstanding piano skills, receiving high marks on exams and winning festival scholarships. She has also given various lectures to her advanced students in piano pedagogy and music psychology.

Ashley taught for a few other music studios, and opened her own in 2001. Since then, she has grown her studio into a full time business and employs two additional teachers. Ashley has also taught music in elementary schools, and conducted the junior concert band at Orangeville District Secondary School for many years. Ashley received her education from The Royal Conservatory of Music, with her main focus of study in piano pedagogy. She also provides workshops to students studying Piano Pedagogy through the RCM. Ashley is committed to high standards of education and furthers her own skills by taking advanced workshops and attending seminars in music history, pedagogy and advanced literature.
Ashley is also an accomplished musician. She has played first flute with the Brampton Symphony Orchestra, and played with the Caledon Concert Band. Ashley has also performed many solo performances on both the flute and piano.


Alicyn has been teaching at Ashley’s Music Studio since 2011 holding an intense love for the piano and the beautiful music it creates. She began her musical career at a young age through many years of formal lessons, examinations, recitals and festivals. Her love for music brought her to Wilfrid Laurier University in 2015 where she is currently completing her Honours Bachelor of Music in piano. Here she has taken courses in music history, theory, and education among others. She also receives weekly lessons under Dr. Marnie Van Weelden and performs in weekly masterclasses. Alicyn completed her Royal Conservatory of Music Grade 10 and is working towards completing the ARCT to become an Associate of the Royal Conservatory. Alicyn has participated and placed in music festivals in Orangeville and Brampton, has accompanied musicals, choirs, solo instruments, and singing at nursing homes. Alicyn has also performed as a soloist at weddings and community events.

Throughout her time at Ashley’s Music Studio, Alicyn’s students have received scholarships at festivals, as well as receiving first class honours marks in their examinations. She has a passion for pedagogy and loves to see her students growing not only in skill but also in their love for music.


Henrietta has been playing and performing for sixteen years. She has currently obtained her full Grade 10 and is currently preparing for her Associate of The Royal Conservatory (ARCT) Diploma. She has participated in many festivals including the Music Festival in Mount Forest, the Kiwanis Music Festival in Elmira and the Kiwanis Music Festival in Guelph. She continues to receive lessons three times a  week, has accompanied choirs, solo musicians and her church congregation. She has experience performing as a soloist for concerts,  weddings, and public events. Henrietta has explored other instruments, and has had 5 years of organ lessons.

Henrietta has been teaching piano and theory independently for 2 years. She takes a great interest in developing technical skills, rhythm and style. She appreciates the distinct styles between musical eras: the contrapuntal textures of the Baroque era, the elegant sonatas of the Classical era, etc. She especially loves the romantic style which brings personal and emotional designs, while providing contrasting dynamics. Henrietta is upbeat and passionate with an enthusiastic love for music.
